VKB is joining with For Richmond and our local faith networks in Richmond City, Henrico, and Hanover to celebrate the holiday with local foster and kinship families served through our social services agencies! We can’t wait to welcome these amazing families and provide them with this time of connection and encouragement. Sponsors, Creatives, and Volunteers needed!
There are 4 simple ways that you, your faith community, or organization can get involved. Don’t forget – this is a family volunteer opportunity, so bring your kids and serve together! All adults will need a background check to participate.
HOST AN ACTIVITY STATION
We usually have about 8 activity stations, including a hot chocolate bar, ornament making, cookie decorating, and more. If you sign up for a station, please know that you will be expected to bring the activity supplies and staff the station. This is a great opportunity for a small group that wants to serve together.
VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME
Don’t want to host a station? Sign up to set up, serve lunch, clean up, help out at the DJ station, or serve as a playground volunteer.
DONATE A $50 GIFT CARD FOR GIFTS
Every kinship and foster family will receive at least one $50 gift card to Target, Walmart, or Amazon to help offset the cost of holiday gifts.
SPONSOR THE DJ, LUNCH, OR SPECIAL ACTIVITY
Lunch for all the families and volunteers runs about $2,500 and the DJ costs $250. We are also hoping to add a photographer. We are looking for sponsors to cover a portion or all of those costs.
